In 2020 I was approached to create a series of illustrations for the website rOpenSci. These illustrations where to consist of 10 diverse characters arranged into 3 compositions to be feature in 3 different pages of the website.

The first illustration was to appear in a section names “Our community”, and feature the characters tiled together. The characters themselves had to show the diversity of the rOpenSci team and the roles they play. Featured is a man giving a talk, people at their desks, people using their phones, people with their pets and a woman catching bugs.

The second illustration was the appear on on the community page, and feature the phrase, “Our community is or greatest asset” in the centre.

The last illustration was cropped headshots of each of these characters, arranged on a page reading “Volunteer for rOpenSci.”.
